HAPPY NEW YEAR

  Hi guys ~ long time no see .

  Well , I am now in South Jordan . I will be back on Sunday .

  This Christmas was wonderful . I felt very warm and happy . I have recieved alots of Christmas presents .

  Lots of things want to share with you but I don't know how to begin . I got my ACT result . It was not bad but also not good . I better take one more time .

  My math is very good , almost prefect . I have 30/36 . 96%of people who take this test cannot reach this score . I am also good at Trigo , it is 16/18 and it is 99% .

  Later , I will take SAT . That will be much harder .

Better

During the second period today , the teacher’s ( Ms. Johnson ) cell phone rang . That was the call from her husband .

   Ms Johnson’s 6yrs old daughter started to bleed 30mins before the call . Her husband stayed at home and didn’t know what to do . Ms Johnson said sent the girl to the emergency place .

   Then she called to the main office of school to call a substitute . After she had settled the class , she went to look after her daughter .

   Our Seminary council has asked all students who take seminary to write their testimony in the front page of the book of Mormon after they have finished their reading . I have done that already ! It was nice . This assignment really think deeply how the gospel and the Lord affect in my live .

better

 Today is much better . I have no headache but still have a little bit cough .

   I only have 4 more school days then we will have a Christmas break . I am quit excited for no school , therefore I can have more rest !!

Sick

 Today I don’t feel well . I felt cold inside my body and felt hot on my face , also headache and cough !!

   I fell asleep after back home immediately . I took in 2 bags of medicine I have because Uncle has not yet back .    After he back , I took in 1 bag of medicine my mum gave me ! I woke up at 7something for dinner .  

   There was a special thing , although I have slept for 3hrs but when I woke up , my left leg was cold . I don’t know what can I do ?

   These few days I couldn’t sleep well . My legs were cold and because of that , I started couldn’t sleep at around 5something .

   After I took in medicine , I felt better but still have cough and a little bit headache .

   Well , I still have homework to do .

Driving Experiment

Today I have a driving experiment . When I was walking to the seminary building this afternoon , there were two boys trying to drive their car because the car was blocked by ice , the wheels could not move .

There was no others students , so I walked towards them and asked anything I could help . They asked to step on the accelerator when they said “ go “ and they pushed in the back of the car . Finally , the car worked !! I want to take the driving lesson !

Our seminary lesson talked about testimony . The teacher has given us a very good example to explain the difference between miracle based on testimony and testimony based on miracle . He said a basketball team lost a game and then the coach said no more practices until they win a game . This is the example of testimony based on a miracle .

I know what is the difference between them but I don’t know how to make them into words . Now I know how to explain . Seminary is a good class for me to learn English and to clarify the gospel principle .

One of the pipe is broken at home . Maybe it has already broken for two to three days . Water drained out continuously . Now they are fixing !!

I will take the re-test tomorrow morning because we start school at 9.10 tomorrow .

Break Again

  I think I can figure out why I said my attitude has changed recently . School in here use English to teach , I have to be very concentrate in class because English is not my first language . If I do not understand , the teacher still use English to explain to you .

   That is the main different from HK . In HK , if you do not understand , the teacher will use Chinese to explain , so I may think I don’t need to pay much attention in class . But here , I have to pay lots and lots of attention so that I can learn .

   Yesterday I was awoken at 6.30am by Susan . And today , I was too !! I think this week I will too . Because this week is final exam in BYU , Susan has to wake up at 6.30am and her exam will start on 7am .

   Today is warmer . Ante said today is the coldest day in this week . The temperature was 15F in the morning , so this week won’t be so cold .

   Seven more school days and I will have a break again ! caution is AGAIN !! I am quite excited for that !! This break till Jan 2 and start school on Jan 3 !! HURRY ##

story

 Once upon a time , there was a king . One day he invited all the people in the city to join a party that held in his castle . On the way the people came , they were blocked by a lots of stones . most of them found another way to continue their journey . But a young man stopped .

   Later on , that young came unto the King with tired and dirt . He handed a bag of gold to the king and said “ I have found a bag of gold under the stones in the highway , my king , I would like you to give this back to the owner . ”

   The king laughed and said “ My dear boy , this belong to you “ The young man said “ I have never have that big of money . It isn’t mine ! “

   The king said “ This is your reward . Because you had removed all the stones in the highway , you make the road smooth , so that the others behind you can come smoothly . “

   Do you ever do like the young man does in your life ? Try to think a question in your own : You want to be a stumbling block or a stepping stone ?

Busy Busy Busy

I have my ACT today . It was not very hard in Math , I could finish them without using my calculator . Science was quite using common sense . Part 1 English was not too hard , it looked like proof reading in HK but Part 2 Passage for me is a little bit hard .  

   I can understand every word in a sentence but when they make together , I don’t understand what it means . Understanding was the main problem in this part however when I understood some of them , the questions were not that difficult .

   We started our test at 9 ( original was 8 ) . I was told and I had read my test center was in U25 . When I arrived U25 , the teacher said her name list was end with Lif…… Then she went to U24 and she could find my name there . I was wondering is my English standard is that bad . But then I could see some of the candidates faced the same question too !!

   I will have Biology quiz on Monday , Calculus test on Tuesday , Biology re-test on Wednesday . How busy next week !! I think it will become more busy because it is closer to Christmas break !!

Early out

 Today is a sunny day but still a little bit cold .

 We have early out on 12/21 , a day before Christmas break . We will start school at 9.10am and end at 11.09am , we have school about 1hr and 59mins . We won’t have lunch that day but we will only have 14mins of each class and 5mins for passing time .

  What can we do in 14mins in class ? especially in seminary . Well , I don’t know .

 In the morning when we went to school , the temperature was only 6F , that is about -23C . Although the car has already turned on the heater , it still really cold . The car started to get warmer when we arrived the school !!

  We have a presentation in History class today . It seems to be a test of sight-reading to me . I think I did well except reading people’s names .

  I have spent my whole second period in the library ( my second period is Math ) the math class has a test today and my teacher said she have nothing for me to do , so I can go to the library . I am a TA

  Today we have an activity for raise money . It was you pay to have date with a boy . You know want I mean ? A group of girls has paid US220 for 3 boys . I don’t know how many girls are there . But US220 was not a small amount !! However , the money is then donated to Sub-4-stanta .

Windy Weather

  Today didn’t snow that much but still freezing . I went out tonight the weather is windy . I felt colder !

  I have a presentation tomorrow with my group in History but I still have not received the power point we will present tomorrow . I don’t know what are we going to talk about !!

  It is becoming harder to wake up in the morning because of the weather . it is colder and darker . I have to let my curtain up overnight therefore , I won’t miss the time .

HEAVY SNOW

Well ~ today has a heavy snow . From 10am to somehow now is 8pm , it still snowing !! I nearly slipped !!

I don’t know whether snow is good or not !

Good : You can play snow-flight

              If it is very heavy , you may not good to school

              Every thing is beautiful because they are

              all covered by snow

Bad : It is VERYx1000000 easy to slip

          Car may not move

          It is not a easy work to remove snow from the pavement

Today in English class we talked about how Americans always mixed up others country . For example , in south America most of the countries speak Spanish , a girl come from Peru but some of the Americans students say she is come from Mexico . Because she speaks Spanish .

 When the girl told them she is come from Peru , the Americans say “ Oh ! It is a place of Mexico !! “ The girl does feel very bad !! How dummy are they !!

As Ante said , Most of the American who grow in US are stupid !!

Now , I can play Christmas Waltz well !! For me , a month ago , it is quite hard . Because it is so quick . According to this result , I really want to thx Becky ( she lives with me , and she play Bass Clarinet ) and Halide ( my section leader ) . They helped me a lot in this song !!

Clarinet

Well ! We played a new song today . " sing a long " It is not too hard but quite difficult .

As I haven't take any lesson of clarinet , it is a little bit hard for me to catch up ! But I am trying to do my best .

My attitude has changed . I have become more concentrate on my school work and always do my best . It is different when I was in HK . I don’t know why but I think it is a good start for me to attend the University .

I have done all my Calculus homework in class again today . It took me about 38mins . I have to practice my Clarinet .

I don’t have any idea of my essay !! It is quite hard . I will do it !!~~ See you tomorrow @@
